He'll be joined on stage by 200 of his closest friends in September...
There’s one final chance to see the genius that is Ennio Morricone on September 23 when the Italian maestro pays a final visit to Dublin’s 3Arena. Tickets priced from €87 go on sale on Friday January 27 and won’t be hanging around for long.
The 89-year-old had hung his baton up in 2014, but because of a resurgence of interest in his work decided to get the gang – all 200 of them – back together again. This, though, is definitely it in terms of international touring, so if you want to hear selections from his timeless Once Upon A Time In The West, Once Upon A Time In America, A Fistful Of Dollars, The Untouchables, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso, and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly scores, this is your final chance. To that list can be added The Hateful Eight, the Quentin Tarantino western that after six previous nominations finally earned Ennio an Oscar last year.
