He’s not dead baby, he’s playing the Point
'Elvis’ and his backing groups set to play the Point this May.
May 29 sees Elvis’ TCB band and the Jordanaires accompanied by Dubliner Kevin Doyle perform The King’s greatest hits. Doyle was the star of the recent hit show ‘The Elvis Presley Story’ and fills the legendary jump suits with his regal personality. The concert is to mark the 50th anniversary of "That’s Alright Baby" which was recorded on July 5 1954 in Memphis, one of the early defining moments of rock ‘n’ roll.
This is the first time that his two backing bands will take the stage together and
to round it all off, The Way It Was orchestra, a 15-piece ensemble, provide a unique touch to this one off musical experience.
Tickets go on Sale Friday 27 February 2004 from Ticketmaster
