Before Brooklyn arrives at Electric Picnic, a taste of things to come…
We’re just one weekend away from Electric Picnic and Heineken Sound Atlas have the festival’s first ever three day Brooklyn Block Party in store. Heineken Sound Atlas, a passport to music and cultural experiences from all over the globe, recently infiltrated Brooklyn to uncover its thriving block party scene to recreate it for Irish music fans making the journey to Stradbally on August 29.
To set the scene, Heineken travelled to Brooklyn to film the Sound Atlas Documentary Series in collaboration with some of the New York borough’s most exciting promoters across music, food and culture.

As well as Sound Atlas, the Heineken Cold Rooms returns to Electric Picnic this year allowing music fans to keep their Heineken cold all weekend. With a mere 90 minutes chilling time to wait and free service for all who arrive with cans of Heineken during the festival weekend, Electric Picnic fans have no excuse but to enjoy their Heineken at its optimum temperature. Conveniently located in the festival campsite, cold cans can be collected at any time between 2pm to 2am on Friday and 12pm to 2am on Saturday and Sunday, ensuring chilled cans for the duration of the fun-filled weekend.
Heineken Eco Exchange also returns to Electric Picnic this year after its huge success in 2013. The Eco Exchange is an extra green initiative that rewards eco-conscious revellers with spot prizes.
