Former Rilo Kiley frontwoman charms Rankin Woods
Jenny Lewis previously came to Stradbally as part of Rilo Kiley. Opening with 'Silver Lining' from their Under The Blacklight album, it felt like 2007 all over again.
Clad in glistening white - a stark contrast from crowd, three days in the same jeans - Lewis and her five piece band make for a striking sight; you can't help but wonder if a psychedelic journey is afoot.
It didn't take long, though, for Lewis' new direction to become apparent. Her outstanding voice is still front and centre, but the sound of new album The Voyager - produced by Ryan Adams - is a countrified brand of the charming pop which put her on the map.
New single 'One Of The Boys' gets punters swaying, but the driving power of old favourite 'Moneymaker' is what really gets things going. From there, Lewis climbs the scaffolding stage-side, dances her heart out, and blasts a mixture of classics and new material that leaves the Rankin Woods crowd swooning.
