McEvoy song to front rail protest

The singer is helping the campaign against rail-line closure.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 28 Apr 2010

The cover of Eleanor McEvoy’s Yola album and the title of one of its songs ‘Isn’t It A Little Late?’ are being used to spearhead a public protest campaign against the planned closure of the Rosslare-Waterford train service.

The cover of Yola was shot on Bridgetown railway station, which is one of the stations that won't be served by any train if the closure goes ahead. The station building, which can be seen with a guitar-wielding McEvoy standing beside it, has already been demolished.

A 'Save The Rosslare to Waterford Rail Line' Facebook page has also been launched at http://bit.ly/bsVkhQ
