It will be their first since 2014's The Take Off and Landing Of Everything.
Elbow frontman Guy Garvey has divulged details of the band's upcoming new record. It will be their seventh studio album and the first since 2014.
Speaking to Radio X in London Garvey said, "we’re hoping to release next year. It’s sounding great. [We're] hoping to have it out maybe February/March next year".
The unnamed album will also be the first without long time drummer Richard Jupp who left the band in March. Jupp had been playing with the band for 25 years and it is believed he left to focus on his drum school as well as a number of charities he is involved in.
Garvey has recently been working on a solo project and has described his backing band for that project as his "favourite musicians outside of Elbow". He shared the solo single 'Open The Door' in May.
