Edwyn Collins to visit IFI
Post-punk hero to take part in Q&A after documentary
When Edwyn Collins suffered life-threatening cerebral haemorrhages in 2005, he could say only two phrases after waking; the name of his wife and manager, Grace Maxwell, and 'The possibilities are endless'.
The latter is the name of a documentary which follows his recovery, and the inspiring film will open at the IFI on Friday with a special Q&A with Collins. Perhaps best known for his smash hit 'A Girl Like You', the Scottish singer was on the verge of death; his journey back to health is explored through intimate retrospective moments and real life scenes.
The work has garnered rave reviews, and you can check out a trailer below.
