Streaming continues to be the way of marking an album or singles success and according to streaming figures Drake's Views is coming out on top!
Three weeks since its release, Views has been streamed more than 500,000,000 times. That's a whole lot of zeros!
The figures indicated by the New York Times prove that Views is breaking streaming records all around it. The preceding title holder was Beyoncé's Lemonade which accumulated 115.2 million streams in its first week. Move aside Beyoncé as Drake managed to rake up 245.1 million streams when Views was released.
The Canadian rapper's fourth studio album, Views is holding its own, topping the album charts for its third consecutive week. With collaborations from Rihanna, Wizkid and Future and writing credits including Kanye West, P. Diddy and Jay-Z, Views has the backing and influence of major names in the industry. With the album basking in such critical and commerical success, it's indicative that Drake is still on top of his game.
Views is out now.
