Those well-known Mancunian Planxty fans Doves are giving away a song from their new album, Kingdom Of Rust, which is out here on April 3. It’s called ‘Jetstream’, is intended as a tribute to proggy soundtrack man Vangelis and is available for the next two weeks from doves.net
It’s a major departure from the likes of ‘There Goes The Fear’ and ‘Pounding’, but definitely worth checking out. Expect Irish gigs in March or April.
