The controversial US President has such a grá for the Emerald Isle that he'll probably make several trips over here during his presidency, according to his son.
While in Ireland last week with some friends to play a few rounds of golf, Eric Trump said: “He (my father) loves this country. He has spent a lot of time in Doonbeg. He truly loves this place and I would find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be over here - more than once."
And if the idea of Trump's trip, or trips, to Ireland isn't exactly music to the ears of his countless detractors here, we can only imagine what they'll think about the fact that Eric also told the Sunday Independent that his father is already looking ahead to running for a second term in office!
"Ivanka and Don and I - we are a family and we also know him [our Dad] better than anybody else in the world. We see the nonsense, the dismissiveness, the evilness, the witch hunts - and personally it makes me want to fight harder next time," he said about the next election campaign.
"If you didn't have some of that evilness, maybe you would be more cavalier, maybe you would be more relaxed, [but] with some of the things you see, it makes me want to fight harder for the administration than honestly ever before."
He also told the Sindo that he believes his sister Ivanka "ticks all the boxes" and could end up being the USA's first female president.
"She has my vote. She's fantastic. She is strong, she is elegant, she is very, very smart, she is rational, she can make decisions quickly but she's also thoughtful. She ticks all the boxes," Eric insisted.
