He'll tour his newly released Mala record this June at Dublin's Button Factory...
Devendra Banhart nips in on June 26 for a show in the Dublin Button Factory, tickets for which are €19.90 and go on sale on Friday March 29.
Expect to hear a song or six from Mala, Banhart’s new album, which was recorded on a vintage Tascam recorder he discovered with bandmate Noah Georgeson in an LA pawn shop.

“A lot of early hip-hop had been made on the Tascam,” he reflects. “And knowing my songs are not hip-hop whatsoever, we thought it would be interesting to see how these kinds of songs would sound on equipment that was used to record our favorite rap. Let’s see how this technology would work for us.”
The answer is, “pretty damn mindblowing!”
