Top local talent is the order of the day (tonight!) when Delorentos, The Chakras, Driving By Night and Jove play the Sugar Club
Winners of the National Student Music Award and definite ‘ones to watch’ Delorentos are to play Dublin’s Sugar Club tonight, May 6.
The four-piece have built up quite a following amongst those in-the-know, not least here at Hot Press. The gig follows an appearance at last night’s IMRO Showcase in Whelan’s where they impressed industry movers and shakers.
Tonight’s line-up also features The Chakras, Driving By Night and Jove.
The Chakras are an energetic live act whose debut single Manipura, produced by Leo Pearson, has been well received and got airplay on 2FM.
Winners of 2001 Hot Press Ignition Unsigned Band Competition, Jove are one of the most popular bands on the Dublin scene who recently packed out The Olympia at the Loud & Clear event.

Belfast outfit Driving By Night are regulars on Radio Ulster’s ‘Across The Line’ and have played on BBC television.
The event is organised by www.roadhousemag.com, a website dedicated to the promotion of unsigned talent in Ireland, both North and South.
Delorentos open the show and take to the stage at 8, so don’t be late. Admission is €8 before 10pm and €15 afterwards.
