Ahead of their upcoming US tour with industrial music pioneers, Ministry, the Sacramento-based hip hop group have shared a new track previewed in a recent video promo for said tour.
Titled, 'electronic drum solo dub mix (single take)', the track features drummer Zach Hill performing an eleven-minute solo on an electronic drum kit. The track had been shared partially on 4th October in a six-minute trailer, in which the band also performed a series of tracks from their album, The Powers That B and most recent release, the mixtape Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber (Megamix).
While it is likely that Death Grips will not be including this new track on their confirmed upcoming album, given their tendency to experiment in often perverse ways (for examples, see the complete history of Death Grips) this idea would not be completely unexpected.
At present however, the only known details about their seventh album is that they have been working with the avant-garde artist, Lucas Abela, an Australian musician who performs by playing a large shard of broken glass against his face.
