The Deacon Blue vocalist brings his 'Lyric Book' over this winter.
November sees Scottish singer and songwriter Ricky Ross gracing a trio of stages over here (Belfast, Dublin, Galway) as part of his Lyric Book Live tour. It finds Ricky presenting some of his most famous songs as they were first written, by him, sitting at a piano. And it’s a chance for Ricky to engage the audience with the stories about the people, places and ideas that influenced his song writing.
Ricky says: “I want to be in a room of people and tell some stories and sing some songs. The stories won't always be true ... but the songs will be. There will be a piano, perhaps a guitar now and again, a pile of songs written over four decades and myself. Come and join me if you can.”
You can catch him at Empire Music Hall, Belfast, on Wednesday November 4. He then plays Dublin's Sugar Club on November 5 before wrapping things up in The Roisin Dubh, Galway, on November 6.
Tickets go on sale this Friday from usual outlets.
