David Kitt has been lined up to headline a special Music Show celebration gig at the Academy in Dublin on October 3.
The showcase event will also feature some of the hottest acts in Ireland right now, with Noise Control, The Deans and O Emperor joining Kitt on what is a fascinating bill, which brings together a superb cross section of the current acts to watch in Ireland.
Meanwhile in a special hip hop showcase, presented by Hot Press and The Music Show, Irish artists Infomatics and Maverick Sabre have joined Speech Debelle for her hugely anticipated Academy 2 show. Speech Debelle recently took the Mercury Prize with her acclaimed debut album, Speech Therapy.
"Between what is happening in the RDS, with brilliant breakthrough artists like The Chapters, Villagers, Bipolar Empire, Vengeance and the Panther Queen and The Brilliant Things lining up alongside the elite of current Irish rock and these two showcase events in the Academy, there is a feast of great music happening over the weekend for A&R scouts and fans of great music alike to get their teeth into," says Niall Stokes, editor of Hot Press. "For anyone who has a musical bone in their body, Dublin is the place to be over the first weekend in October, that's for sure."
