In the new issue of Hot Press, the Dublin duo tells Colm O’Regan about the making of their new LP
Darling resurface for an all-too-rare live show at the inaugural gibson gigs event on February 25.
Darling tells Colm O’Regan in the new issue of Hot Press that they feel a new LP is overdue, “We issued ourselves an ultimatum in October- that if we didn’t get an album done, then we’d keep our heads down forever more.”
On rehearsing in a spare bedroom in Dublin city, the indie band says, “We can sit their on a Friday night as, all around us, the world is coming to an end. There’s people screaming and fighting and vomiting, and we’re upstairs arguing the best way to play a C cord.”
The gibson gigs will provide Darling with the perfect opportunity to road-test their new stuff; however the indie band are in studio mode at the moment, “So the idea of playing in front of people is a little terrifying all over again! But we’re looking forward to it, and using it as a forum to play our newer stuff.”

And it sounds like we won’t have long to wait until the LP is unveiled in all its glory, “We won’t be dallying though; you’ll hear from Darling soon.”
