He will host a country music star each Wednesday for Opry an Iúir.
Daniel O'Donnell is about to return to your TV screens and he's getting back to his roots. The new series of Opry an Iúir kicks off at 10.30pm on TG4 from October 7.
Running every Wednesday at that time, it will see the Donegal singer welcome a country music star in front of a live audience as they play their greatest hits.
For the first time ever, Daniel will also perform some of his best-known hits in Irish.
Speaking about the series, Daniel says: "I really enjoyed presenting Opry an Iúir again this year. The guests were all fantastic. I got to sing a few songs in Irish. A first for me! It's so good to have a show like this to showcase some of our great country stars.”"
This season features country stars Dominic Kirwan, Charlie Landsborough, Mike Denver, Louise Morrissey, Jim Devine and Johnny Brady. Daniel will join each artist on stage for a chat and a duet performance. Each country star then also appears with an Irish traditional artist to perform a duet in Irish. Some of the Irish artists include Seamus Begley and Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill.
