Last night's show in the famous Dublin venue was an emotional one, and Hot Press was on hand to capture the action.
With promises of a new album and plenty of live evidence that he still very much has 'it', Damien Rice got a Whelan's crowd very excited with a stunning two and a half hour set last night. It was all to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the venue, which played a crucial part in nurturing the Irish singer-songwriter movement, which Rice himself spearheaded and carried on to huge critical and commercial success around the world.
Rosie O'Brien was there to snap all the action, so whether you missed out and want to catch a glimpse of the elusive man himself on a stage once more, or are a lucky attendee wanting to relive the experience, click here for the full gallery.
