After disappearing from the radar for close to a decade, Craig David has stepped into the BBC Live Lounge and smashed the No.1 hit ‘Love Yourself’.
His take on Justin Bieber's track is proof that after all these years that David might just have been Born To Do It (apologies) as he flows seamlessly from soulful singing to an impressive improvised rap.
Putting his own distinctive garage spin on it, David’s cover of the song is a throwback to the noughties - and, indeed, he'll be hoping the success he enjoyed back then will be replicated with his new album Following My Intuition.
And, of course, Irish fans of David can catch him at the Wright Venue on February 26th.
