Coldplay follows up the acclaimed 2015 release A Head Full Of Dreams with the new EP Kaleidoscope available today for digital download.
Following their sold out stadium headliner in Croke Park on Saturday night, Coldplay has released a new EP which they describe as a “sister release” to the album A Head Full Of Dreams. The EP features four new songs and a new live version of their hit collaboration with The Chainsmokers, ‘Something Just Like This’.
Even though Chris Martin said that A Head Full of Dreams was going to be the band’s final album, he never said anything about not producing more EPs. Kaleidoscope was recorded while on tour and features collaborations with artists such as Brian Eno and Big Sean. Proceeds from the collaboration with Eno will go towards helping migrants and refugees in peril at sea in the Mediterranean.
The EP continues in the theme of dreamy yet arena-friendly rock that the band is known for by combining socially-conscious themes with easy-listening compositions and will be easily appreciated by fans of the band's previous releases. Although the band’s world tour has now left Ireland and continued on to France, you can check out the EP below and make sure that you are ready to sing along with Chris Martin the next time you see them live.
