Dublin-based psychedelic folk rockers Cian Nugent & The Cosmos have announced a headline gig in Whelans for this Saturday April 12.
This will be internationally acclaimed guitarist Nugent’s first gig on home-soil since returning from an extended jaunt around the U.S supporting American indie-folkster Angel Olson. After the success of this solo excursion it’ll undoubtedly be a pleasure to see Nugent once again backed by the remarkable collection of players that make up the Cosmos. Between them they’ve got more chops than a butcher’s window.
Support on the night come courtesy of the enigmatic Patrick Kelleher. Kelleher is a renowned genre straddled who has been known to tinker with sounds as disparate as electro-pop, doo-wop and ambient noise. With this being his first gig in quite some time one can only speculate what surprises his set will hold, definitely one to arrive early for.
