Legendary grunge supergroup Temple Of The Dog are finally hitting the road in the US
he Pearl Jam/Soundgarden supergroup featuring Chris Cornell, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron are playing their first ever tour in the States.
Formed by Cornell in 1990, Temple Of The Dog released one highly revered album the following year but never got to jump into a bus together.
“We wanted to do the one thing we never got to do... play shows and see what it feels like to be the band that we walked away from 25 years ago," Cornell says. "This is something no one has ever seen. We wanted to stop and recognise that we did this and pay homage."
The trek takes in the Tower Theater, Philadelphia (November 4); Madison Square Garden, New York (7); Bill Graham Civic Center, San Francisco (11); The Forum, Los Angeles (14) and Paramount Theater, Seattle (20).
If you fancy a transatlantic jaunt, tickets go on sale on Friday July 29. The Temple Of The Dog album gets a September 20 reissue with lots of bonus goodies.
Hopefully, if all goes rockingly, they may pay Europe a visit afterwards...
