Nowadays, Chris Brown's personal life makes more headlines than his music does.
Much of that, he only has himself to blame.
Brown's downward spiral began in 2009 after the notorious domestic fight he had with then girlfriend, Rihanna. The attack which happened shortly before a pre-Grammy party left Rihanna bruised and battered.

When photographs emerged of Rihanna after the assault, condemnation of Chris Brown came in fast and heavy. He still spends much of his time in the shadow of this assault and it will continue to dominate every move he makes in his career. Now he has made a documentary on his life in the spotlight, much of it focusing on that pivotal moment.
In this instance, playing the victim won't necessarily wash with us but everyone is entitled to their say.
Chris Brown will play Dublin's 3Arena on June 15.
