Electric Picnic has announced details of a new multimedia performance area, Hazel Wood, which will be populated by members of France's Footsbarn Company and, from closer to home, the Gaiety School of Acting.
Along with puppetry, mask-making, visual art and workshops, there will be music from Jack O’Rourke, Exit: Pursued By a Bear, Carried By Waves, MKAI, Jim X Comet who’ll be spinning a celebratory set of David Bowie tunes, Fish Go Deep and Cathy Davey who’s performing her new album for the first time at midnight on the Friday.
The Hazel Wood collective will finish on the Sunday night by leading a procession around the festival site.
