Singer tops mainstream and indie charts.
Ahead of her performance in Dublin's Olympia Theatre this evening, Cathy Davey has made history by becoming the first Irish artist to top both the mainstream and indie charts.
Davey's excellent The Nameless held off stiff competition from fellow chart debutantes The National, whose High Violet LP had to settle for second place in the indie charts and third in the mainstream.
Notable new entrants in the indie chart include Broken Social Scene's Forgiveness Rock Record (5) and Where Did The Night Fall by UNKLE (9).
Meanwhile Diana Vickers was amongst the biggest losers in the mainstream album charts with her Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree dropping ten places in only its second week.

However, that's bound to matter very little to Davey who is sure to toast her little piece of music history with fans in The Olympia tonight.
