Phenomenal ticket demand means that Broken Social Scene’s Dublin debut on February 11 has been switched from Crawdaddy.
The band now play the Temple Bar Music Centre instead.
A Montreal take on the Reindeer Section, the band’s fluid line-up includes members of Do Make Say Think, Apostle Of Hustle, Feist, Metric, Stars, Raising The Fawn, Fembots, Weakerthans and The Dears.
Led by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning, they’ll also be plugging their current eponymous album at the Speakeasy, Belfast on February 10.
The follow up to 2002’s thoroughly fab You Forgot It In People collection, it proves beyond any reasonable doubt that their hometown is the hippest place on the planet.
Still Crawdaddy-bound over the next couple of months are punky Domino signings Beautiful Newborn Children (January 23); Mancunian space folkers Jim Noir (February 3); and esoteric Nashville duo Two Gallants (8).
