One Direction and Ed Sheeran are rumoured to be two of the huge pop acts re-recording 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'.
Thirty years on from the original release of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?', Bob Geldof has confirmed his plans for a new version of the momentous charity single. Set to be released in the run-up to Christmas (and sure to be the instant favourite for Christmas Number One), chart-toppers such as One Direction and Ed Sheeran are expected to feature this time around, with the proceeds going to the fight against the Ebola virus.
The artist line-up is set to be revealed today, so stay with hotpress.com for further details.
'Do They Know It's Christmas?' was re-recorded twice before, in 1989 and again in 2004, when the likes of Chris Martin and Dizzy Rascal came together to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The original was the brainchild of Geldof and Midge Ure, raising £8 million for Ethiopia.
