Strokes duo top Dublin Bob Dylan tribute bill
The good folk at Jameson have announced details of Dylan Fest, a charitable nod to Bob, which takes place on August 9 in the Dublin Academy.
The seriously tasty line-up features The Strokes’ guitar duo Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond, Jr., Fran Healy of Travis, Bell X1’s Paul Noonan, Gemma Hayes, Boz Scaggs, Jape, Conor & Neil Adams from Cast Of Cheers, Butch Walker, James Vincent McMorrow, Heathers, Cathy Davey, Gavin Friday, Ruby Amanfu and Jerry Fish who will all perform Dylan classics with the house band.
It’s a first overseas outing for the American promoters, Best Fest, who’ve previously run dedicated Tom Petty, David Bowie and Rolling Stones gigs.
100% of the €25 ticket price goes to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
