Bob Dylan’s Never Ending Tour rolls into Dublin again for a by his standards intimate gig in The Point.
Tickets for the gig on November 26 are priced €49.50 and €54.50, and go on sale at 9am on Thursday July 28.
Currently working his way round the US baseball stadium circuit, The Big Zim will also be gracing our screens on September 26 when BBC 2 airs Martin Scorsese’s No Direction Home – Bob Dylan as part of their Arena series.
Focusing on the 1961 to 1966 part of his career, it contains loads of previously unseen footage and a new interview with the normally camera-shy Dylan.
"Bringing Dylan and Scorsese together for this remarkable documentary on Dylan's early life and the songs that changed a generation is a remarkable coup for BBC 2 and marks the pinnacle of Arena's 30 years on the channel,” enthuses BBC 2 controller Roly Keating. "Bob Dylan is famously private and Martin Scorsese is greatly in demand as one of the most successful film directors in the world, so it was a huge undertaking for the 'Arena' team and their partners on this project. But the result is as awesome as you would expect from this fusion of great talent."
Meanwhile, Dylan is following in Alanis Morissette and Ray Charles’ footsteps and making his Live At The Gaslight 1962 album available exclusively through Starbucks.
Described as “the elusive Moby Dick of Dylan recordings”, it finds his Bobness playing to a café-full of adoring fans in the Greenwich Village hangout of the same name
