The legendary hard rock band are coming to Ireland for the first time ever this year.
Blue Oyster Cult have announced they are to play their inaugural Irish gig in July. The hard rock outfit are best known for their track 'Don't Fear The Reaper'.
The band first released their album Agents of Fortune in 1976. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the record Blue Oyster Cult are currently playing a number of shows across the US.
A gig in Dublin's Academy venue is scheduled for July 28. The set will be comprised of the entire Agents of Fortune album as well as other hits from their back catalogue. On the night the band will consist of the founding members, frontman Donald Roeser, keyboard player Eric Bloom and drummer Albert Bouchard.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday May 24 at 10am and are priced at €40. They will be available from Ticketmaster and Sound Cellar on Nassau Street in Dublin city centre.
