Biffy Clyro announce MTV Unplugged album and Irish gig

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have announced their first acoustic album, 'MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse London', which will be released on May 25, and an Irish show in September.

MTV will broadcast the Biffy Clyro 'Unplugged' show at 9pm or 10pm on MTV Music on May 25, with the lad's releasing the album the same day.

The album was recorded on November 8 2017, with the set reflecting the relaunch of the MTV Unplugged series. Previously performing on MTV Unplugged were Nirvana, Oasis, Pearl Jam, R.E.M and George Michael.

A highlight for Biffy Clyro fans is likely to be a cover of the Beach Boy's 'God Only Knows', a line from which singer Simon Neil has tattooed across his chest.

‘MTV Unplugged: Live At Roundhouse London’ will be released on digital, CD and a special vinyl/CD/DVD boxset. Pre-orders are available from Fans who pre-order the album from the official site will receive a pre-sale code for the MTV Unplugged tour which begins in September. Tickets go on general sale on May 11.
