The infamous line has been shrouded in mystery since it was first heard
There's been a lot of rumours and it caused a fair amount of debate, but the real meaning behind Beyoncé's line "You better call Becky with the good hair" has finally been explained.
It's fair to say that that particular lyric from 'Sorry' caused a fair amount of hysteria in 2016. Accusations were cast against Bey's husband, Jay Z, that he had cheated with Rita Ora.
However, the 'Sorry' songwriter, Diana Gordon, says the lyric isn't about any one individual.
"I laughed, like this is so silly. Where are we living?" Gordon told to Entertainment Weekly. "I was like, 'What day in age from that lyric do you get all of this information? Is it really telling you all that much, accusing people?'"
Diana said the Queen of R&B was surprised by the reaction to the lyric.

"If it's not going to be me saying it, and the one person in the world who can say it is Beyoncé, I was fucking happy. With Beyoncé, I feel like the songs we worked on were specifically for her," she added.
"The idea started in my mind but it's not mine anymore. It was very funny and amusing to me to watch it spread over the world."
