Ahead of her Croke Park appointment tomorrow night, Queen Bey takes the throne, on top of the Irish album charts
Having seen Adele reap the rewards of the Glasto bump in returning to top spot last week, Beyoncé works the same trick this week. The hoopla and sense of anticipation around her own live endeavours – she's at Croke Park tomorrow night – has taken her back to the top of the Irish charts.
Lemonade, which has been on-and-off the peak since its release, has dislodged the similarly successful 25. Meanwhile, the Longitude-bound Christine & The Queens – interviewed in the current issue Hot Press – climb two spots to No 3, with Choler Humaine. Drake holds strong at No. 4; behind him comes the week's highest new entry, in the shape of Blink 182's California.
Also making its debut is Bat For Lashes The Bride, though that's back at No. 18; the rest of the top ten has an altogether familiar look, as Walking On Cars, Coldplay, Radiohead and Nathan Carter all stay within striking distance of the top.
