Beady Eye? That's a very sinister name for a band, you think. Now who do you know who's creepy enough to release music under a name that suggests voyeurism, suspicion and mistrust? You guessed it - Liam Gallagher's new band is just about ready to release its debut album to the masses. To bring you up to speed, Beady Eye is made up of Liam, AKA the gobbiest man in rock, Oasis guitarist Gem Archer, Oasis bassist Andy Bell, who'll now be playing guitar, Oasis drummer Chris Sharrock, part-time Oasis keyboardist Jay Darlington and Gorillaz man Jeff Wootton on bass. So absolutely nothing like Oasis then, yeah? Well, let's look at the track in question 'Bring The Light' - clearly, Liam's still obsessed with The Beatles, but this time 'round there's a Shangri-La’s twist, as they've drafted in some female gospel singers to back up Gallagher The Younger's angry growl. And I know I’ve heard that "Baby C'mon" refrain somewhere before. Wherever they got it from, the track's up for grabs at the band's site for the price of an e-mail.
