The action hero and former Californian Governor talks politics and film in the new Hot Press.
Back in action for Terminator Genisys (he told you he would be etc...), Arnold Schwarzenegger opens up in our latest issue. Having not appeared in Terminator 4 because he was "very busy with the Governorship", while he's enjoying his return to the big screen, he also confesses to missing politics.
“I sometimes miss it, yes, when certain decisions are made that I feel very passionate about. But luckily I’m not like some politicians who don’t have a job when they get out, and just go around doing speeches.”
One political gig he'd still love would be the presidency of the United States of America. Unfortunately for Arnie, as he was born in Austria, it will never happen.
“Everyone knows that if I had been American-born, I would probably run for president, because why not? I could do a better job than these guys can, trust me!” he laughs. “But that job’s not available and I am not going to complain about it, because everything that I have accomplished in my life is because of America. So I’m not going to complain about the one job that I can’t do.”
