Gig to aid Athlone flood victims

Under the banner Home Athlone, a number of artists have banded together to raise funds for the victims of flooding in the Athlone area with a special gig on Monday, December 21, at Scribes Bar in Athlone IT.

The show will run from 8.30pm to midnight. Tickets at €15 are available from Music World Athlone in Golden Island, and Athlone IT. The organisers say that 100% of proceeds will go to the people who need it most, determined by volunteer groups who have been working around the clock in the affected areas of Athlone.
