"I am not changing my stance just because film won Oscar. It's a negative, spiteful and misleading portrayal of Amy. We will fix this."
Amy Winehouse’s father has made it quite plain from the outset that he is not a fan of Amy, the documentary that centres around his late daughter’s battle with drink and drugs.
Now that Asif Kapadia's acclaimed documentary has won the prestigious Academy Award for best documentary feature film, Mitch Winehouse made it his business to let Twitter know that he is still not behind the picture.
"Always proud of my baby. Amy will not get an oscar though. Just Asif Kapadia. That is what this is all about ... Asif. He's fooled everybody,” the bereaved father tweeted.

When collecting the award on Sunday, director Kapadia said: " We just wanted to make a film to show the world who she really was."
Amy Winehouse died in 2011 aged just 27 after a long-publicised battle with drink and drugs.
