Danish singer Agnes Obel has announced her first Irish show - she will perform in Dublin's Sugar Club on April 16.

Hot Press was mightily impressed with the Obel's Philharmonics album upon its release through PIAS late last year: "It’s richly textured and folky and generally very lovely."

Tickets for the April show are on sale now, priced €15.
