A headline slot at Glasto has done 25's sales no harm at all
The rise in sales for artists after Glastonbury is almost as well-documented – and Adele has been the big winner after last weekend's renewal.
Her 25 climbs from No. 9 to reclaim the top spot is has held off-and-on since release in November. She's closely followed by Beyonce – whose Croke Park visit next weekend may well see her receive a similar boost in coming days – while last week's leaders, Red Hot Chili Peppers, fall to No. 3.
The trip to Worthy Farm has also helped Coldplay from No. 13 to No. 7, in a week that sees little change elsewhere in the top ten. Drake climbs one spot to fourth – his old berth taken by Longitude-bound Christine and the Queens – while Radiohead, Walking On Cars, and Ed Sheeran all remain in the upper echelons. In a quiet week for new entries, Earth from Neil Young & The Promise of the Real is the most notable, beginning at No. 27.
