La La Land [music video]

Picking up where Outkast left off, madcap Dubliners No Monster Club have employed a canine friend for the video for ‘La La Land’, an infinitely catchy slacker pop number that, in fairness, deserves all the weird visual accompaniment it gets. The clip follows a singing dog named Chance as he rides around Dublin city in the passenger seat of a small car while frontman Bobby Aherne trails behind on two wheels. In true No Monster Club style, the result is freaky, hilarious and effortlessly bizarre – in fact, it’s probably my favourite Irish music video in years.
